Kallista Mutten has told a jury her nine-year-old daughter called her partner “daddy” and had travelled with him to his family’s Blue Mountains home.
Charlise Mutten’s mother has told a jury the last time she saw her daughter was when the nine-year-old had asked to spend the night in the Blue Mountains with her fiance, whom she called “daddy”.
Charlise, who lived with her grandparents in Tweed Heads, had been visiting Stein and her mother for the school holidays. “He did say that ‘youse must have the same thing’ because Charlise woke him up early in the morning and that she had vomited on him and on the ground,” Mutten said.At 10.06am, Stein sent a text reading: “Am literally about to walk out the door. Charsey is staying put in bed. She’s wrecked, and already fallen back to sleep.”In a call at 10.28am on January 12, she said Stein told her the real estate woman was “going to keep an eye” on Charlise.
