An Aberdeen tour operator has been left shocked after capturing a 'golden shot' of a pod of dolphins playing with an unsuspecting windsurfer. Ricky Greenhowe who runs Aberdeen Harbour Tours, had been out with a group on Saturday watching a pod of dolphins when he began filming a windsurfer.
In the video, the windsurfer can be seen sailing in choppy seas before suddenly hitting the water. Ricky, 49, says it was only after watching the video back later he noticed two dolphins appear next to the man. "You hear all these guys talk about the Golden shot, It's not often you get something on the camera. If you look closely you see the dolphin coming out the water as he comes flying off.
It might have been a one-off on camera, but Ricky said he has witnessed similar incidents including one occasion where a pod "knocked children off of paddle boards" before.Top news stories today He added: "I see the dolphins get up to nonsense all the time. Everyone is oblivious to what's going on, I don't think the windsurfer even noticed it was the dolphins.
