A food influencer's decision to bake a cheesecake on a Ryanair flight has sparked a heated debate online, with some praising her creativity and others criticizing her in-flight behavior.
Flying might be the quickest travel option, but it's not always comfy—crammed in a seat for hours can feel like torture. So, it's common to see passengers bringing their own entertainment on board. But what lines shouldn't be crossed in terms of flight behavior? Food influencer Lola Young certainly tested the limits by assembling a cheesecake while aboard her recent Ryanair flight, later sharing the exploit on Instagram.
In her video, Lola methodically lines up her ingredients before crafting a no-bake cheesecake. For the base, she uses biscuit crumbs, softened butter, and honey, all precisely prepared. Then she pounds the crumbs, binds them with the butter and honey using a teaspoon, and packs it down in a cake tin to craft the crust. The cheesy layer comes next, with cream cheese coupled with sugar, smoothly spread atop the initial layer. Completing the creation, she lavishes two small jars of jam over the creamy filling. Instagram Pleased with her handiwork, she tucks into the sweet treat right there. However, the online audience wasn't quite as enthralled. Some were distinctly disgruntled at her in-the-air antics, as one person moaned: 'No. I'm a flight attendant and it's a big no. Seriously pull yourself together people.' Another critic echoes the sentiment, adding: 'Imagine being this desperate for likes.' However, others jumped to the influencer's defence, saying she had done nothing wrong. 'I don't understand the criticism! Plane food sucks, at least you can eat a good cake,' one fan commented, while another posted: 'Finally, someone I would actually enjoy sitting beside.'
