Using her milestone birthday celebration as her inspiration, she requested contributions from family, friends, and colleagues to secure donations to the food bank in place of them sending her birthday gifts. Delia, who has been part of the Ravensdale team for more than five years and worked in adultfor 27 years, organised a collection point at Ravensdale and encouraged donations of non-perishable food items such as pasta, rice, tinned goods, and cereals.
The response was overwhelming, with members of the local community joining her donation drive to make their generous contributions.
