Right-back Lima heading to west London Chelsea have agreed a contract with Brazilian starlet Pedro Lima with the Blues winning the race to sign the 17-year-old. Real Madrid have also been eager to sign the full-back from Sport Recife, viewing him as a long-term successor for Dani Carvajal on the right. Chelsea are continuing their push to sign up the brightest South American talent however with their move for Lima now at an ‘advanced stage’.
It could be another busy summer at Chelsea ‘The salary part has been agreed, but there are still some clauses in the contract to be defined, some bonuses.’ Should the deal go through, Lima will become the latest Brazilian youngster to join Chelsea as part of their ambitious recruitment drive in South America. Last month, the club agreed a deal worth an initial £29m with Palmeiras to sign Estevao Willian with the winger set to move to Stamford Bridge in 2025.
