Chelsea ‘expect’ bidding war for €60m star as European giant are reluctant to meet asking priceFabrizio Romano has clarified that Chelsea “expect” more clubs to be interested in Kai Havertz as Real Madrid have been put off by his lofty valuation.
As Chelsea currently have one of the biggest squads in the Premier League, some high-profile departures are expected.“Real Madrid are not intentioned to pay €60m plus add-ons for Kai Havertz,” Romano confirmed on“Havertz situation will be discussed in the next days, Chelsea expect more clubs to approach them.”The club have reportedly set a €60m asking price for the player, although Real Madrid seem reluctant to pay this figure.
His best moment came against Manchester City in the Champions League final in 2020–21, where he scored the winning goal. “They believe that Kai Havertz is the kind of creative player with the skills Real Madrid don’t have in the current team,” Romano explained.
