The Blues want ANOTHER first team goalkeeper.
Filip Jorgensen has caught the eye in goal for Villarreal Chelsea are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer and have made an ‘initial approach’ for Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen. The Blues had Djordje Petrovic and Robert Sanchez competing for the gloves last season, while Kepa Arrizabalaga was out on loan at Real Madrid. Clearly they are not happy with their goalkeeping options, though, as they have made a move for Jorgensen.
The stopper was born in Sweden and was capped for the country at youth level before switching allegiance to Denmark, where his father is from, and has played for his new nation’s Under-21 side. He made his La Liga debut in January 2023 and impressed last season, making 36 appearances in the Spanish top flight and making more saves than any other goalkeeper the division.
