Has Poch done enough?
Mauricio Pochettino is fighting to hold onto his job at Stamford Bridge The Chelsea hierarchy will undertake a season review shortly after the campaign ends to decide on Mauricio Pochettino’s future and the manager himself will be involved. It has been a difficult first season in charge of the Blues for Pochettino, losing 11 Premier League games so far and sitting seventh in the table.
The Blues chiefs do not want a summer of uncertainty ahead and will make a decision as quickly as possibly after conducting the review. Chairman Boehly has been impressed with recent performances, so Pochettino will be hopeful of keeping hold of his job if he can keep up those displays. ‘We’ve seen the last two and a half games, at least in the second half at Aston Villa and Tottenham and West Ham where we played just beautiful football,’ said Boehly, via The Athletic.
