Actress Chelsee Healey bravely reveals she suffered a miscarriage while training for Dancing On Ice, sharing her experience in a heartfelt Instagram post to support other women going through similar situations.
Soap star Chelsee Healey has bravely opened up about suffering a miscarriage, shortly after she began training for Dancing On Ice. The 36 year old actress, best known for her roles as Janeece Bryant in Waterloo Road, Honey Wright in Casualty and Goldie McQueen in Hollyoaks, was the first celeb to leave the ITV show after a skate-off with comedian Josh Jones.
"I haven’t been able to talk about this until now, because it’s been too painful. I hope by sharing it now it can help other women going through something similar. Been so anxious to post. "I thought I could just carry on but anyone who knows me, knew I wasn’t right. Some feelings you can park, put in a box and move on. This hurts differently and I can’t just move on, not yet anyway. I think that my little baby deserves to be honoured by me allowing myself to feel all the emotions, all the sadness for what will not be. There is no shame in that.
Buchanan, along with Ferne McCann, who was the second celebrity eliminated from Dancing On Ice, were among those reaching out in the comments section. Ferne told Chelsee: "You’re a formidable force. And it was a pleasure working alongside you when you was going through all of this darling. Your girlies are lucky to have such a strong mamma."
