, the cast of season four will be stomping their heels into the werk room. Ultimately, one will join The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, Krystal Versace and my UK Vs The World sister, Blu Hydrangea, in the winners circle.
But with this opportunity came immense pressure to deliver, which is something I have always been very harsh on myself with in the past. As artists, we scrutinise our work with a magnifying glass. I was so excited to show the growth and the evolution of my drag since I first competed in 2019 – I was still a baby, only two and half years into my career. So coming back for round two, I was ready to make everyone who had supported me proud, prove the naysayers wrong and show that I was ready for another week of me no longer doing mediocre .I knew deep down that I deserved a spot on that cast and I was willing to throw myself into the swimming pool with no arm bands to prove I could swim.
Unfortunately, so many of my peers have deleted their Twitter accounts to avoid being targeted online. My entire life, I have been about uplifting and celebrating peers and friends. I had a teacher once give me advice: ‘When you are supportive of your peers’ successes, the successes will also come to you’.I implore fans of the show to think twice before they make scathing critiques of queens and try to live by this advice instead.
