“At times we don’t see the improvement we want to see and at times we do,” manager Pedro Grifol said before Wednesday’s game. “At times we see setbacks. And at times we see a lot of steps forward. “We’ve had the ability to close games out in all areas, and at times we haven’t,” Grifol said. “We’ve had games where we don’t make a play in the infield or outfield, we’ve had games where we don’t take an extra base on the bases.
