Two people were shot and killed at a Chick-Fil-A in Texas on Wednesday afternoon, with the suspect identified by his wife.Irving Police Department responded to a Chick-Fil-A in the city just north-west of Dallas at 3:40 p.m. to find two people shot.Police identified the gunman as Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, on early Wednesday evening, saying he was suspected of carrying out a targeted shooting.
'The defendant is the spouse of an employee, who was a witness, and she positively identified the defendant with certainty,' the document said.The suspect had fled before police arrived on the scene, police said Wednesday afternoon, releasing a photo of the vehicle linked to the suspect.Fox 4 Dallas reported that multiple people were inside the restaurant when the shooting happened. Police said there was no further threat to the public.
