Teenage striker Chido Obi-Martin is on the verge of officially joining Manchester United after the Premier League ratified his transfer. The 16-year-old, who left Arsenal in the summer, is set to sign a contract with the Red Devils.
Chido Obi-Martin is on the verge of officially joining Manchester United after they received the Premier League ratification required for the teenage striker to complete his move. The 16-year-old striker - who went viral for scoring 10 goals in an academy game last year - left Arsenal in the summer following the expiry of his contract.
In total the Denmark under-17 international scored 32 goals in 24 appearances at youth team level for Arsenal last season and trained with the first team. However, United are aware he will require time and patience having missed out on a long period of training with any team while the process they have needed to work through to sign Obi-Martin has been ongoing.
