When asked why Rice left the accident scene Saturday, Rice's lawyer said that's 'a good question that's still being investigated.'
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver was the driver of a Lamborghini involved in a multi-vehicle crash in northeast Dallas on Saturday night, his lawyer said in a Thursday news conference. “Mr. Rice acknowledged that he was driving the Lamborghini, that was the question that was asked,” Rice’s attorney Royce West said about the police’s investigation into the crash. “He responded to that. That he was driving the Lamborghini.
In regards to those injured, West — who is also a Texas state senator in District 23, which represents Dallas — said Rice “wants to make certain it’s understood and appreciated that he’s going to do everything in his power to bring their life back to as normal as possible.” When asked why Rice left the scene Saturday, West said that’s “a good question that’s still being investigated.” On Wednesday, Rice claimed “full responsibility” for his part in the crash Wednesday in an Instagram story post.
