CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. — A young boy died after the truck he was riding in went off the road and ended up in Clear Creek Saturday night.said the crash happened around 9 p.m. The truck exited Interstate 70 at Exit 232, which is the exit for Empire, went off the exit ramp and ended up submerged in the creek.
The boy was trapped in the submerged truck, deputies said. Officers from Idaho Springs and Georgetown's police departments, Clear Creek deputies and a bystander jumped into the cold water to free the boy, according to CCSO.
