Police have issued an appeal for witnesses
A 12-year-old boy was "struck in the face without warning" by a stranger during an attack in Belfast.
Police said the suspect then left on foot in the direction of Woodvale, and enquiries are ongoing to determine who was involved and a motive.In an appeal for information, a spokesperson for the PSNI added: "Anyone who noticed what happened or who has CCTV, mobile or other footage that could help with enquiries is asked to make contact with police on 101 quoting reference 1714 11/11/24.
"Alternatively you can provide information to us directly by submitting a report online via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/"
