The Health Play Specialist at the Belfast Children's Cancer Unit has explained why she is taking part in the Stormont Mile to help raise much needed funds for its charity.
Ellie's position has been funded by the Children's Cancer Unit Charity, which provides a wide array of support to the ward and the children and families receiving treatment there and relies on donations from members of the public to carry out its work. "Everything I do has been funded by the Children's Cancer Unit Charity who do so much good work in helping everyone here, whether that is helping families with some financial support or putting on Domino's pizza parties every Tuesday to put a smile on everyone's face.
On September 29, the Children's Cancer Unit Charity will be hosting the Stormont Mile a sponsored run/walk and funday on the Stormont estate in order to raise much needed funds.
