The application came to committee

A children’s home operated for months without permission on the Wirral according to people opposing a planning application. The application for a lawful development certificate was approved by Wirral Council ’s planning committee. The application related to Cherry Cottage in Gayton which asked for permission to change the use of the house from a dwelling to a children’s home for a single child in care.

“We support them with education, with counselling, supporting them with health and wellbeing. A lot of these kids have trauma, they’ve witnessed domestic violence so we are here to say we are supporting these young children to have a better life, a better future.” She said they would seek to work with neighbours, issues with the bins was because of confusion around collections. She said it was not about them as a company but the children.
