Beloved TV star Mark Speight died by suicide 16 years ago, just three months after the death of his fiancée Natasha Collins.
Tragically, in January 2008, Mark woke to find the body of his girlfriend Natasha in the bath of their north-west London flat. Following her death, he was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs, but he later was released without charge. In the wake of Natasha’s death, Mark had been living with Natasha’s mum in north London. However, on 8 April 2008 he was reported missing after he failed to turn up for a meeting with a friend in Covent Garden. On 13 April 2008 Mark’s body was found, with the coroner recording a verdict of suicide. He was 42 years old.
