China has replaced its foreign minister Qin Gang one month after the top aide to President Xi Jinping was last seen in public.said Mr Qin would be replaced by his predecessor, Wang Yi.
Xinhua also said Yi Gang had been removed as governor of the People’s Bank of China, replaced by the central bank’s deputy Pan Gongsheng. However, Mr Pan’s promotion had been widely expected after he was named Communist Party chief to the central bank earlier this month.Nathan Perri Mr Qin, who was last seen on June 25 when he met with Russia’s deputy foreign minister, met Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong on the sidelines of a G20 meeting in India in March.
