Chinese astronauts Ye Guangfu and Li Guangsu completed an 8.5-hour spacewalk outside the Tiangong space station.
During their extravehicular activity, Ye and Li installed the space debris protection shields on one of the modules of the orbital station.
According to the China Manned Space Agency , they also conducted extensive checks of extravehicular equipment and facilities situated outside the station. The astronauts performed the spacewalk in second-generation “Feitian” spacesuits, which can give up to eight hours of support in a single EVA.Meanwhile, this was Li’s first EVA and Ye’s second, having done a spacewalk during the Shenzhou 13 mission in December 2021.
