Coldplay star Chris Martin has reportedly proposed to actress Dakota Johnson after six years together and has the full blessing of his ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their children
After six years together, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are reportedly engaged and it seems they have the full blessing from his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their children Apple and Moses. The Mirror reports that an insider hinted at the couple's exciting news by revealing: "The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private.
But now they are being open about it with their circles. "They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official."Eagle-eyed fans may recall spotting an emerald green ring on Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota's wedding finger during her 34th birthday party in LA last October. She has also recently said that she can't wait to be a mum. In a recent chat with Bustle Magazine, Dakota gushed about how much she loves being a step-mum to Apple and Moses, saying: "I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart. How do I feel about motherhood? I'm so open to that. I've gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer." "And especially being a woman, I'm like: 'What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience. If that's meant to happen for me, I'm totally down for it. We're not here for very long, so if I'm meant to be a mother, bring it on." Dakota and Chris, 47, started dating in 2017 - a year after the rocker "consciously uncoupled" from wife Gwyneth, 51. The two actresses made headlines last year when Gwyneth posted a snap of them holding hands - proving their strong bond. Asked about the reaction to the snap, Dakota said: "I'm glad there was that positive reaction. I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying 'Blood is thicker than water'. The actual saying is 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb' which means the people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you're actually born to." "No matter how f**ked up it is, or who's in rehab, or who's not speaking to whom, or who's divorcing whom, we're family. And we are always going to be a family, it's really real. You grow and you embrace and you say, 'F***k you and f**k off' and then 'I love you, come back."
