Following the fallout from the King Richard star’s altercation with Rock on stage at the Academy Awards, Oscars producer Will Packer has conducted an interview with Good Morning America, which is due to air today.
However, ‘Chris was being very dismissive of these options. He was like, “No, I’m fine.” He was like, “No, no, no.”’
On Sunday night, the LAPD released a statement that outlined that ‘investigative entities were aware’ of what happened between Smith and Rock, but ‘the individual involved has declined to file a police report’. Smith slapped Rock at the Oscars after the comedian made a joke about the short haircut of the Men In Black star’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has a hair loss condition called alopecia.
The actor stormed the stage and struck Rock across the face, before returning to his seat and shouting at the comic to keep his wife’s name ‘out of his mouth’.
