Chrissy Teigen revealed that her and John Legend’s 6-year-old son, Miles, has type 1 diabetes
.
“You noticed his type-1 diabetes monitor and extended so much love and encouragement in every way possible,” she wrote. “I was, and am, so blown away by the kindness of this community, already.” “But the doctors knew something else was off about his blood tests,” she wrote. “I’ve learned since then that this is how so many young children end up being diagnosed with type-1 — going to the hospital for something completely different.”
Teigen noted that Legend, 45, read a book titled, “Year One with Type One” to Miles on Tuesday, July 30, and she “burst into tears” at one page and “had to leave the room so he couldn’t see me sobbing.”
