Christine Lampard , who stepped in to host the Lorraine show, was left red-faced after her co-star made an X-rated comment during a live health segment. The presenter, 45, was so taken aback by the comment she was lost for words and was left giggling awkwardly.
"Now, nitrates are converted to nitric oxide by our body and the bacteria in our body, and that helps widen our blood vessels and lower our blood pressure. The GP then proceeded to candidly put the beetroot in his pocket as he said: "I'll be taking them, thank you very much." He proceeded into a giggle before Christine found the words to say: "I didn't know you were going to say it".
"It's all that knowledge you see, you just want to share." Intrigued by the vegetable, Christine asked: "Do you have to cook it like that, from raw, or do you still get the same benefits if you buy it?"
