Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is reportedly unhappy with his role at the club under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The 27-year-old has been relegated to cup games and the odd substitute appearance, with Nicolas Jackson cementing himself as Maresca’s preferred option up top for Premier League games., Man United are interested in the unhappy Frenchman, but Ruben Amorim’s side will have to sell before making a move.
Nkunku scored Chelsea’s first goal in their 2-0 Europa Conference League win over FC Heidenheim on Thursday as the Premier League giants edge closer to the next round. Despite his lack of league minutes, Nkunku is Chelsea’s top goalscorer so far this season, with 11 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions. The Premier League giants are heavy favourites to lift the Europa Conference League come the end of the season, which would make them the first club to win all three major European trophies.
Things are going pretty well in the Premier League, too, for Maresca’s side, sitting in third as they prepare for a visit from Aston Villa on Sunday .
