Man United's summer transfer window continues to heat up off the pitch as Jim Ratcliffe secures another backroom addition

As Manchester United begin to grow into this summer's transfer window, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the club's new overlords at Ineos have already made a couple of major signings off the pitch., securing the Dutchman's involvement for a further year which will run until 2026. With Ten Hag's backroom staff also set for a reshuffle, it's likely to be the first of many big changes that Ratcliffe will make to the club since his own entrance in February.

"Anybody could figure that one out. But what's much more challenging is to find the next Mbappe, the next Bellingham or the next Roy Keane. The solution isn’t spending a lot of money on a couple of great players. They’ve done that, if you look at the last 10 years. Salzburg signed Haaland ahead of United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer subsequently speaking about his frustration on missing out on the striker.

Benjamin Sesko will stay at RB Leipzig for at least one more season but it was Vivell who originally brought him over from RB Salzburg to the Bundesliga, where he's thriving now. One of Vivell's poorer signings over the years, Mudryk's initial fee of £62m in his move to Chelsea may look bad but it looks even worse when you realise it can still rise to a staggering £89m.
