Christy Moore was a guest on Friday night's episode of the RTE Late Late Show, where he chatted to host Patrick Kielty about his new album, A Terrible Beauty
Viewers of the Late Late Show have hailed Christy Moore as a 'national treasure' following his appearance on Friday night's show. The legendary Irish singer-songwriter graced the RTE Studios, joining host Patrick Kielty to discuss his new album "A Terrible Beauty," which was released today.
He highlighted the disparity in the country, saying, "There's a lot of hardship in the country now and there's also a lot of wealth. Some people are doing very, very well and others aren't doing so good. And there's a lot of people in Ireland now who need more than they're getting." Moore's appearance on the Late Late Show was a hit with viewers, as they took to social media to express their admiration for the iconic singer-songwriter. "National treasure is Christy," commented one viewer, while another said: "Christy is the best of us."
Another added: "Christy Moore reminds me of a singing Irish Seanchaí, such a beautiful ability to tell a whole story in the space of a few verses . What a talent" However, viewers were far from impressed by Bishop's appearance on Friday's show, with a number of people branding the interview 'painful' to watch.
