Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., on Tuesday called on Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., to resign following his felony conviction on corruption charges.with 16 felony counts, including bribery, fraud, extortion and obstruction of justice. The charges stemmed from allegations the senator accepted gold bars, cash and a luxury car as bribes in exchange for helping foreign governments.such allegations as “sensationalized.” Reporters earlier this year pressed Sen. Schumer to call for Sen.
