Church View Farm, a beloved establishment in Lydiate, has been serving fresh produce and hosting pumpkin picking events for nearly four decades. Founded in 1985 by Edie Pope and her late husband Robert, the farm shop started its journey as a transformed piggery building. The farm shop continues to be a popular destination for locals who appreciate its array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and local products.

It's now been nearly four decades since this old building was transformed into a traditional farm shop that's welcomed generations. Church View Farm , on Southport Road inhas welcomed generations of customers through the decades for its fresh produce and pumpkin picking which takes place every autumn.

It was back in 1985 that Edie Pope and her late husband, Robert, known as Bobby, bought the farm, which is around a 50-minute drive from. In the early days, they built the farm up and transformed former piggery building into what is now their popular farm shop."The farm shop was originally a pig housing unit - it's a brick built piggery. We cleared it out and decorated it and it is an old building, but it's still a nice building.".
