City centre road closed and sealed off due to police incident

A Glasgow city centre road has been closed due to a police incident on Sunday afternoon.

Several police officers attended at Cathedral Street on Sunday afternoon sealing the road off between North Frederick Street and North Hanover Street.No vehicles can be seen inside the police cordon but a bicycle is lying at the side of the road on the west bound carriageway.spokesperson said:"Police and emergency services are currently in Cathedral Street, Glasgow after a cyclist came off his bike.

"Officers were called to assist Scottish Ambulance Service with traffic management around 4.15pm on Sunday, 20 August 2023."Diversions are in place via North Fredrick Street at George Square."
