The mass shooting happened in District 2 City Councilor Julie Beard's district.
Sunday's shooting injured more than a dozen. It's a miracle no one was killed. MONTGOMERY , Ala. -District 2 City Council or Julie Beard woke up at 2:30 early Sunday morning when she heard the news of a mass shooting in her district at an unpermitted party. She was aware of the gathering over a week in advance and told me she had warned the authorities.
Violence isn’t just impacting victims and their families, either. They’re also causing a strain on local hospitals. “These surgeons are worked to death,” said Dr. Thrasher. “Nurses were saying I’ve had it, I can’t take it anymore, you know. They’re burned out, our blood supply gets low.”
