City development at former Virgin Media site finally completed

The development off Daleside Road boasts a mixture of 82 houses and flats

A Nottingham housing association director has called for planning processes to be sped up as a city housing development has finally been completed after four years. All 82 homes on the Nottingham Community Housing Association development located off Daleside Road in Sneinton will now be occupied in the next two weeks.

There are 25 shared ownerships homes located on the estate, which Mr Fisher says will be of great help for people to get on the housing ladder. The demand for such houses in Nottingham is enormous, he added, and so is the one for one-bed flats, with the development boasting 40 of them. "The home we moved out of in Carlton was just under £1,000 but after we moved, it went up to about £1,300 for a three-bed. We downsized to a two-bed but we still have plenty of room."
