It's thought that Take That would be the first band to perform at the City Ground since R.E.M in 2005
Excitement is building over rumours Take That will perform at the City Ground - with some music fans and revellers in Nottingham expecting tickets to fly for a potential Trentside show. Talk of a concert on the banks of the River Trent began when Nottingham Forest shared an image of a light projection on the side of the Trent End stand, with the ground one of several up and down the country illuminated with the logo of the 90s boyband.
"I know so many people who live in this area and we don’t have a big enough arena for bands like Take That. So to come to the Forest ground will be fantastic. Certainly, I would want a ticket and so would my family. We’d be very excited.”Parvis Shabami, a 62-year-old graphic designer, said: “Gigs and famous celebrities coming to Nottingham are obviously good for the city and its economy and general mood, so why not? I’m sure they’d help to boost businesses nearby. Hopefully.
Pablo Saatchi, 38, who works as a painter and decorator, said: "I followed their music many years ago, I was a little kid when I used to listen to Take That. A lot of people will come up for it. My sisters definitely will go to it.
