Music celebration MeadowFest takes place Aug. 24
The city of Austin will officially recognize Aug. 24 as Meadow Goodman Mental Health Awareness Day to honor the memory of the 15-year-old local musician, who passed away last year. The certification coincides with the benefit show MeadowFest, going down at Far Out Lounge the same day. Meadow Goodman , daughter of local bassist and KTonic Kombucha founder Greg Goodman , was a queer drummer and student at Anderson High School who lost her battle with mental illness in August 2023.
