In a touching ceremony, Robertsdale unveiled an exhibit honoring the bravery and dedication of those who served in the Vietnam War.
) - The event spotlighted The Wall That Heals exhibit, a three-quarter replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.“It’s fantastic,” said Pendergrass. “It’s great that people get to see the display and I, myself just got back from D.C. I went on the Honor Flight.…and see all of the memorials — Vietnam, World War II, Korea and it’s just a really nice trip, a nice trip to veterans.
One of the speakers during the ceremony was Mayor Charles Murphy. He says monuments like this are a great way for people to see history. Veteran Kenneth Marsh presented the idea to the mayor and said it means a lot because of the connection to Baldwin County and the war.
