The same section was closed for around five weeks in March

Parts of a Nottingham park will be closed for several weeks for the second time this year while landscape improvement work takes place. A section of Valley Road Park, a narrow green space near City Hospital, was shut off on Monday, August 19.

A city council notice placed on its gate said the stretch between Edwards Lane and Mansfield Road will not reopen for approximately three weeks. The same area was closed for around five weeks in March while flood damage was repaired. "Landscape improvement work will be undertaken in Valley Road Park starting Monday 19th August for approximately three weeks," the notice reads. "It will be necessary to close the park to the public while work is underway to allow machinery to operate safely."The park will be reopened as soon as work is complete.
