On Merseyside, if you're looking for a fortune teller, you don't have to look very far. You can find them at psychic nights in pubs, in festivals and fayres, or you can book a private seances in people's homes. Although the practise is controversial, many people - even avowed sceptics - are curious about what it involves, and most of us have friends and family members who have dabbled in it at some point.
She gets all kinds of people enter the emporium - some looking for spiritual guidance, others just looking for a laugh with their mates. She said: 'What I see is a combination of little old ladies who think a tealeaf reading would be a giggle, or that they remember their nans or mums doing it. You get gangs of women who are on holiday and think it would be really fun and cool if they all got readings.
