Based on DepEd’s situation report as of June 12, some schools located in the municipalities of Camalig, Daraga, Guinobatan, and Malilipot and the cities of Ligao and Tabaco in Albay suspended classes amid Mayon Volcano’s magmatic unrest.Two schools are situated within the six-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone of Mayon Volcano, while 45 schools are within its seven-to eight-kilometer radius.around Mayon Volcano to seven kilometers due to its continued unrest.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said more than 14,000 residents have already been evacuated amid the continued unrest of Mayon Volcano.
