The zoo announced today the festival will continue for most visitors until Sept. 14, with a special bike event scheduled for Sept. 15.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio residents are getting some extra time to check out the Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
“Since its inception, more than 1 million guests have experienced the wonder of Asian Lantern Festival, including more than 105,000 guests this year,” Cleveland Metroparks Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Manderfield said in a statement. New this year is Swan Voyage, which allows guests to see the displays from paddleboats on Waterfowl Lake. Tickets for Swan Voyage are $15 and can be purchased at the zoo. The paddleboats carry up to five passengers and are open until dusk each evening of the festival.
