The Cleveland Museum of Art announced Friday, May 24, 2024 that it has hired Jacquelyn Sawyer as its new chief learning officer.CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Museum of Art has a new top educator. On Friday, the museum announced it has appointed Jacquelyn Sawyer, former vice president of education and engagement at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., as its new chief learning officer.
The museum selected Sawyer for her new post after a national search, it said in a news release. She starts June 17. She’ll be responsible for “all public and academic engagement and outreach, including academic programs, collection and exhibition programming, school and teacher programs, and the museum’s Education Art Collection,” the museum said.
