But starting with the August meter read and continuing through at least next summer, the default rate is expected to drop to roughly 6.302 cents per kilowatt-hour, according to Sustainability Director Sarah O’Keeffe. A City Council committee on Thursday approved Cleveland’s plan to extend its agreement with SOPEC for another two years, through August 2026.for aggregation services. NOPEC was the previous provider.
