Joe Sheridan is the latest teen talent to roll of Cliftonville's academy conveyor belt
Joe Sheridan is the latest youngster to sign professional terms at Cliftonville. The 17-year-old midfielder continues to impress at Solitude after making his senior debut on the final day of the Irish Premiership last season.
Manager Jim Magilton and his staff have always given youth a chance, and Sheridan is the newest example of the club's internal investment. Magilton told Cliftonville's website: “Joe Sheridan is an outstanding young midfield player with immense potential and has already gained international recognition. The club is confident he’ll develop further this season and, with a strong pre-season, make him a key player next year. “Patience and time are always key in young players’ development but there is no doubt his talent and promise are sure to excite our fans, who can look forward to seeing him showcase his skills and make a significant impact on the team.Some other Cliftonville youngsters who have come off the academy conveyor belt in recent times include Shea Kearney, Coran Madden, Ryan Corrigan, Keevan Hawthorne and Leon Graham.
