The Brox netted twice in the early stages of the second half to seal a 3-0 preliminary second round win over Lochee United
Broxburn Athletic eased into the first round of the Scottish Cup thanks to a clinical second half showing against Lochee United at Albyn Park.
Captain Nick Locke calmly slotted home from 10 yards before Lewis Turner doubled the lead with a fine header moments later to put Athletic in command. The game had all the makings of a decent Scottish Cup preliminary round tie with two top-end tier six sides facing-off but the Brox dominated pretty much from start to finish and were unlucky not to take a 15th minute lead when Turner's effort cleared off the line by a United defender before Locke's cross was nearly deflected beyond his own keeper by Paul Lunnan.
Any fears that they would rue those missed chances were put to bed with a quick-fire double right at the start of the second half as Locke found the bottom corner on 47 minutes before Turner was found unmarked to double the advantage a minute later.
