Owners are now searching for someone to take over the space
Grain and Grind are known across the city thanks to their popular shops in the West End, Southside and a recent move to open a store on Duke Street in Dennistoun. The firm's Victoria Road location, which opened in 2021, specialised in bakery products like fresh breads and cakes as well as filled bagels.
However, in sad news for fans of the shop, the team announced yesterday that the Govanhill branch was soon to close with the chance for a new owner to take over the space. A social media post said:"It’s with a heavy heart that we’ve decided to permanently close our Victoria Road branch."If you’d be interested in chatting about the opportunity please get in touch we’re open to offers."
Luckily for Southsiders, Grain and Grind operate two locations nearby in both Battlefield and Strathbungo which continue to serve a signature selection of artisan coffee and treats.
