Following Monday's events, Greenwood will now resume his career elsewhere, though the forward is not thought to have anything lined up so far. United say they are focused on finding a path for Greenwood to continue his career elsewhere in an environment that is suitable for him and his young family.Greenwood has already been linked with a plethora of clubs abroad, including Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ettifaq, who are managed by former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard.
Furthermore, another report by the Mail has stated that two unnamed Championship clubs have 'decided against taking their interest further' after holding preliminary talks. It adds that the player would prefer to stay in England to rebuild his career but a move overseas may be his only option.
