A project which has seen thousands of trees planted in areas across Hamilton and Blantyre has been nominated for an environmental award.

CCF director Chris Stark said: “We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted – our goal of planting 18 million trees across Glasgow city region is ambitious, and will be crucial in addressing both the climate emergency and biodiversity loss. The awards shortlist was announced by Graham Simpson, the Central Scotland MSP, with winners being announced at a ceremony in Edinburgh next month.
