Pupils and staff have organised a number of fundraising events for charity

Staff and pupils at a Wishaw high school have been celebrating an excellent start to the academic year.

Clyde Valley’s senior pupil House Captains have already committed to more fundraising events with several more coffee mornings and raffles planned, with the proceeds going to charities and organisations which pupils have selected. The Nuffield Research Placements are engaging, real-life research or development projects that provide an opportunity for students to apply skills and knowledge learned at school while making a meaningful contribution to the work of researchers and industry professionals. Lauren’s was based on engineering at Glasgow Caledonian University and Hannah’s was gender inequality in STEM at the Herriot Watt University.
