The Columbus Metropolitan Library has announced on Thursday that their stock of free eclipse glasses has run out.
The library first starting giving out the glasses on Monday, but the demand was too high. CML also stated in their announcement that they will no longer refill their stock.
At 3:10 p.m. on Monday, April 8, central Ohio will experience a near total solar eclipse – with totality lasting around 3-4 minutes. Safe glasses are essential for viewing this celestial phenomenon," the library stated in their announcement.is offering a deal where you can get free eclipse glasses with a purchase of their ice cream starting on Friday, April 5.
"The difference between a day with an eclipse, and every other day is just that we are more likely to look at the sun during the eclipse," said Doctor Jeffrey Walline, the acting dean of the Ohio State University College of Optometry. "But we should never look directly at the sun."The skin on your shoulder or your arms can heal," said Walline. "And it heals relatively quickly.
