Theo Katechis, co-owner of an iconic downtown Montgomery restaurant, has died. Employees of Chris’ Hotdogs confirmed his death to WSFA 12 News Wednesday afternoon.

Founded in 1917, this mgm landmark serves hotdogs enjoyed by people from all walks of life, rich and poor, black and white, young and old, from all over the world. Notable patrons include Franklin D. Roosevelt, Presidents Bush 41 & 43, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Elvis Presley, and every Alabama Governor since 1917.
